Sage is an open-source proteomics search engine that accelerates proteomics workflows by incorporating retention time prediction, label-free and isobaric quantification, peptide-spectrum match rescoring, and false discovery rate control into a single cross-platform application. A fragment indexing strategy enables fast narrow and open searches, while its cloud-native design offers unprecedented speed and scalability for searching DDA, DIA, and PRM datasets. Developed in the Rust programming language and freely available for both academic and for-profit use under the MIT open-source license, Sage serves as a universally accessible, rapid, and robust tool for large-scale proteomics applications.
